There was no way that they could live up to the hype and speculation but they did absolutely NOTHING to deny any claims and possible features in the game or admit their lies, whether unintentional or not, all of them vague.
Sean Murray's purpose for being so vague was to let us discover everything but he really knew that his game wasn't shite but he still wanted all the money.
