If people would quit putting money into a game that you've already paid for then it wouldn't be a problem. But people these days don't have the patience for that.
I worked my team up to be pretty good last year despite not putting a dime in and I started really late.

I just don't have fun playing CPU games. $10 and then some grinding is more enjoyable for me personally.
