Nintendo is ran by a bunch of people who do not understand the home console market, and they haven't understood it since the SNES days.
The lack of a cd drive along with that awful controller made almost all third party games inferior. The GameCube had similar problems with those tiny disks that lacked the data storage capacity of DVDs and a controller that wasn't optimal for third party titles. The Wii wasn't even HD calable nor that much more powerful than the GameCube. Millions of people bought the Wii for Wii Sports and Netflix but after the shine wore off, it just collected dust. Third party support died after developers stopped porting games over to the ps2.
The Wii U started strong out of the gate with a surprising lineup of third party titles but once the next gen systems launched, it just became another Wii.
I am willing to give the benefit of a doubt over the NX though.

quote:Well, I'll give them the Wii. They hit that niche at the right time. Problem is, they don't know what to do next.
