Know a lot of people looking to make jambalayas, but I know the govt is very stringent on food donations. Anyone have any ideas where they would be best served?

After helping one of the chem professors today after his house had 5' of water in it (lives off oneal) i would just say drive through a neighborhood around there and just offer it to people gutting their houses. A minivan with a group of kids was driving around offering water to everyone and that was great. Such an easy way to help without worrying about the government.

ETA: One thing that I would suggest to add to the donation list are masks. The smell inside the house and fridges today could not have been good for anyone

I know that Lake Chapel on Lake Martin road in St Amant is in need of meals and help with meals. Residents have been cooking and delivering to people in the community. I was told someone from New Orleans will be cooking Saturday but I planned to head over there Sunday and cook. The more pots the merrier IMO.

ETA: see my post on the F&DB. Just trying to get some info out there and organize some people who want to cook and deliver meals.
