Meh I still disagree, obviously there are a lot of caveats and angles to what I'm trying to say. You have to judge early years relative to early years and so on. Expectations come into play aswell... like strief followed the expected path for a good 7th round pick. The eye test is king.

I don't remember ever thinking man team made a big mistake drafting with Jimmy or Peyton. Admittedly, I don't know much about Drew's career in san diego other than he didn't start out the gates and he got hurt but his stats don't look like complete bust to me.

I have no idea the situation around Favre in ATL, maybe you're right, I was 4

It definitely explains why you don't remember Peyton sucking either, you were 10.

He sucked his first 3 years and they drafted another QB 1st over all (Eli Manning). Then he started turning it around. They didn't re-sign him and he got hurt in the last game of the season.

The eye test would have said RG3 > Luck halfway through their rookie season because realistically, it was at that point.
