Don't sit around and mope and complain.
Go out and do something. Volunteer for a charity. Serve meals at a homeless shelter. Help out a animal shelter. Build a house with Habitat for Humanity.
2 things will happen. One is you'll see others in dire situations as you perceive yours, plus you'll feel better by helping others out.

I have, and I do. Like I said, I try that way. Then, I look at my current circumstances and without my family, I'm in serious trouble right now. There's little difference between me, financially speaking, and the people where I volunteer except my family.
Hell, the people on government assistance have more money than I do.
Synopsis:
Graduated college. Plans for dental school. Decided to take a job to bank money. Did that for two years. Was in the application cycle and also in the third year of my job. My mom had a serious medical issue. I skipped the dental school interview. Ended up losing my job to help. The following year, I had a medical issue. Was hospitalized for a month. It's taken me two years to regain the strength to get to the point where I feel confident about where I am. I lost about 40k through this time. I was unemployed. Lost a relationship as well. Found a solid job only to have to sacrifice it because of my original goal. Had to take a shitty job.
I'm now applying to dental school again almost totally broke three years later. Like as in its tough to pay the application fees.

Honestly I doubled down on God. I read everything Christian about the topic at hand (marriage) and tried to apply what I could. I also read Proverbs alot and spent more time in prayer than I ever had before. Talking to a professional is also quite helpful.
