People shouldn't get to move the goalposts like this. It's murder or it isn't, right?
By saying "I personally consider" I meant that's my opinion on the matter, not hard fact. I understand others will have a different opinion on the matter.

quote:Sure. Whatever works for you. I'm firmly pro-choice, and this is one of the reasons why.
I think it's more like self defense in the case of the mother being at risk.

I dont think a lot of people understand just how much more expensive a Down syndrome child is compared to a normal child. All of the medical expenses, physical therapy, day time care for 30-40+ years would be insanely expensive.

I don't know anyone who supports abortion. I know plenty of people who support a woman's right to choose to abort a child, though.
That's the same thing with softer wording. frick them too.

Yes. We opted for genetic testing in all of our pregencies. Would have aborted if one had deformities.

I wouldn't hesitate and neither would my wife. We've actually talked about it. I don't really care about abortion in general though.

Oh well God forbid someone be burdened by the expenses of a child that they made.

And?
Look, I would not abort. But I am not pointing the giant judging finger at those that say they may

Sorry you are against freedom, and people making their own choices in America.

We do an annual event at a local center for people with disabilities. I reccomend you find such a place near you and go attend any public events they hold and meet some of the amazing people there. I think you'll come away from the experience a changed man with a new outlook on a lot of things.

That's not what this thread is about. If you're pro life, fine, you made your decision and I respect that. I'm just explaining factors to consider for people that would be on the fence. No need to get all hot and bothered by it.

You're a right wing nut, aren't you? Calling anyone who smokes pot a "loser" and telling pro-choice adults to die in a fire then burn in hell.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being Richard Dawkins and 10 being a Pentecostal snake handler, how religious are you?

Then don't have sex. It sure as hell isn't the unborn child's fault.

and I'm just explaining the logic behind it is very flawed

I don't understand why anyone would want to have a child that would never be anything more than a burden and give nothing back to society.
