I had chest pain for 6 months, I knew it wasn't cardiac as it was reproducible with movement. It was most likely costochondritis, but most bouts last just weeks. I had a CT, and they found some scar tissue that could be cancerous. It was so small they said to wait a year to see if it grows, but they put my nerves at ease when they told me they had them too, and they were even larger, and it's just scar tissue from pollution. I definitely had anxiety from worrying about what it could be and reading web md. The chest pain has gone after a year. Somehow I have no anxiety about the nodules once the told me to not worry, I try not to think about it. I will get a CT in a few months

Isn't health related anxiety just fear of dying?
Kinda, except that you convince yourself you actually are dying.

How do you come to terms with that?
Trying to figure that out.
