Disney World Hotel Transfer Question

The wife has a conference in Orlando, so we are going to spend the weekend before at Disney. On Sunday, we have to move to the conference hotel at some point. Staying at the Caribbean Resort that weekend then moving to Gaylord Palms on Sunday. We have a full day booked at Epcot (I think) on Sunday.
Question is, what's the best way to this to minimize interrupting the day at the park? Was thinking about leaving the park to do all this crap then take a shuttle back for the remainder of the day. Anyone have experience with this? TIA

Not there but why not store your things with the front desk/bellman and then enjoy the park and THEN switch hotels?? We had to do this recently in NOLA .. stored our stuff, went to meetings, got our stuff and moved.

Will you have a car or will you be using Disney and the Gaylord transportation systems?

If you're using Disney and Gaylord transportation this is what I would do.
Check out of your hotel on Sunday morning (before you go to the park). It won't effect your tickets, dining plan etc and leave your bags with them at the front of Caribbean Beach. if you have items that need to be stored in a refrigerator, they do have those available.
Go to the park as scheduled and when you're done take Disney transportation back to Caribbean Beach, get your luggage and cab/uber it over to the Gaylord, check in and you're all good.
If you have your own car (or are renting), I still check out of your resort in the morning before heading to Epcot, but I would bring your bags over to the Gaylord before going to Epcot and have them keep them until you check in later that afternoon/evening/night, etc.

We did something similar, stayed at Carib Beach and then went to Peabody.
The day you leave, leave your luggage at front desk and you can pick it up when you leave the park that day to go check in at new hotel.

An interesting note if anyone ever does a split stay between Disney resorts is they will actually transfer your bags for you. (free of charge)
Last year we did a half week at Bay Lake and a half week at Boardwalk and one day we dropped off our bags at the front of the Boardwalk and when we got to our room from Magic Kingdom, there they were.

How'd you like Bay Lake?

I liked it alot...rooms are very nice. What view did you get? Magic Kingdom view is pretty sweet, but not sure it's worth the extra money. Lake View has some awesome sunrises.
The walk over to contempo cafe to get your morning coffee is a long one, so I'd just bring some coffee and filters with you and use the pot in the room.
