Honestly I've never used it. It got some strong desire at the end of last season. Sounds like a more fair way of doing waivers in my opinion.

Waivers will be done with a budget instead of by resetting reverse order of rankings each week. So everyone puts in a bid for a player and the guy who bids the highest gets the player.
Another option would be to just not have waivers reset every week. So it starts inverse of draft order but does not reset weekly. So you can hold your first priority for weeks if you choose to.

Still in need of players? I'm available.

Yah, it's not set in stone. We can change it if we want to. I'd like to try it honestly. But if enough don't want it we can adjust.
Hugo what's your opinions against it?

What happens when you use all of your points? You can't pick up anyone else for the rest of the yr? Just curious because I've never played with waiver pts before

I'm not strongly opposed to it.
I'm just apprehensive because I've never done them that way before but I've heard horror stories from other leagues where a team ran out of waiver money too early and couldn't fill needed roster spots.
I'll give it a try though.

I'm still interested if a vacant spot is available, FYI. Also giving a complimentary bump. Your welcome.

You can make 0 dollar bids. So after you have spent your amount you can still add wavier based on inverse order priority.
WAB explained
quote:
The Waiver Acquisition Budget is a way to claim players off the waiver wire by using an allotted seasonal budget. This budget is the amount of points that you have at your disposal to claim players. You are in fact bidding against other players to determine who will be awarded a coveted player.
The process to claim a player goes as follows:
Go to the "Players" page to located a player that you wish to add.
Click the Add symbol next to the player that you want to bid on.
Determine how many WAB points you would like to use in your bid for this player.
Hit the "Confirm Add" after you have decided how many points you would like to use to claim the player.
If your waiver claim is successful, the amount of points that you bid on that player will be removed from your seasonal budget.
Example: Peyton Manning is available on waivers. Your League Manager has delegated 100 WAB points to each team in your league. You bid 45 points to obtain Peyton Manning and win. Those 45 points will be removed from your budget and you will have 55 WAB points left to bid on players for the rest of the season.
If your waiver claim is unsuccessful, you will not lose any points. The amount of points that you bid on the player will be returned to your seasonal budget.
Example: Arian Foster is available on waivers. You bid 25 points out of the 100 season WAB points your League Manager gave each team. Another owner bids 30 points and wins Arian Foster. The 25 points that you bid will be returned to you and you will still have 100 points in your budget.
If you and another owner bid for the same player and tied, Waiver Priority will be used to break the tie. This Waiver Priority is determined by the Inverse Order of the Standings. Note that for any acquisitions made in Preseason, the Waiver Priority is determined by the Inverse Order of the Draft.
Say you have used all of your WAB points, you still are able to make claims on players. You can bid "Zero" points and if no one outbids you, you will be awarded the player.
