Look what Saban has done to us. LSU fans are now so timid, it's sad.
I could care less if Miles stays or goes and prefer if he left.
It's BS if he lets this affect his team though. Only he can squash this crap

What does a phone call have to do with him taking a new job?

What does a phone call have to do with him taking a new job? The jackasses who reported that don't even have the nerve to claim that it was actually about him taking the coaching job
They are reporting that he interviewed

"There's a proud tradition, and they have to do the things they have to do. I'm for them, and if there's any way I can help them, I'd love to help them. But I'm not going there. It saddens me at times. I can't be at two places. I've got a great place. I'm home."
""I am the head coach at LSU. I will be the head coach at LSU," Miles said Saturday. "I have no interest in talking to anybody else."
LSU senior associate athletic director Herb Vincent said he later asked Miles whether the coach's statement applied to Michigan. Vincent said Miles told him it did.

If they players believe the reports that he talked to 2 people there and met with them as well, then YES he does need to say something!

Miles needs to say something. There's too much smoke here. Michigan must feel or been given the impression from someone that this is not a dead end. Miles needs to say that he will be the coach for next season at LSU, not just next year. If he can't say that, then there is more to the Michigan story.

Smoke from a suspicious Detroit article?
So, every time one of these articles come out, and ESPN discuss it, because they have little else to talk about now, Miles has to make a statement?
How about he make 1 final statement insisting that he will stay at LSU. Then when one of theses stories come out, the AD's PR people just repost the same comment to the media?
