Why does the national media continue to believe Les is lying about staying at LSU, and they use Nick Saban as an example to boost their argument. Saban never lied while he was at LSU. He never said he was going to stay and then left. He did that at Miami, not Baton Rouge. How come everyone thinks Miles will do the same thing Nick did. Being at LSU doesn't make you more likely to lie about your job status. This is ridiculous. Our coach said he is staying, period. He's staying. All ESPN is doing now is trying to make Herbstreit feel better by making it look like he COULD have been correct on that Saturday. This is stupid and I can't watch E!SPN do this any longer, its sick.
Now Geaux Tigers and beat OState's arse

Don't go "the world is against LSU" on us! Nick has poisoned the water for ALL coaches. Since his mess all coaches are now viewed by sports writers (and ESPN seems to be the ones fueling this fire) as not true to their word. I can understand how that has happened but do not agree with it. Les has stuck to his word so far and should be given that respect until proven otherwise. Key word: PROVEN.

It's not just Saban...

Sportswriters in general look at the number of coaches at LSU, post-Mac, and see massive turnover without looking at the reasons why.

They just see the head coach position at LSU as one big turnstile.

(CBS Sportsline did a piece on this a few years back, around the time Saban left, detailing how we've never kept a coach more than five years since Mac was forced into retirement.)
