As hard as it was to do I re-watched the Arkansas Game.. Harris never stood a chance. He was running for his life and constantly in 3rd and longs. Terrible game plan and atrocious Oline play.

Also- Thank God Steele is gone. Its like he was actively trying to put them out of position.

What was it, the opening drive of the 2nd half where they ran straight shotgun no huddle? That was an impressive drive.

Alot of people when mentioning Harris' struggles forget to mention the terrible pass blocking. I think it messed with his head and ability to be comfortable in the pocket.

I really hope our OL is better across the board this year. It was awful at times last

That game was lost on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. No game plan had a chance on offense.

Literally the most pissed I've ever been during an LSU sporting event. I felt embarrassed how mad I got

I need rewatch the Arkansas game.

But I don't see how the game plan was atrocious. Miles spread the ball out to make up for losing two TEs out FB and an O linemen or two. Offense was just beat to all hell.

I was in the stands. Didn't think we were out of it till it was 31-14.

Dude, they spread it out and chunked it. They totally went away from what they did all season.

And isn't that what y'all wanted? Arkansas had a strong run d, there has been another thread about not throwing it enough against bama and running your head into a brick wall.

They didn't do that against arky.

I've mentioned this so much, but the OL was over matched from November to the end of the regular season. When they actually faced DLs with a pulse they couldn't protect jack. Fournette had to create his lanes the entire November.

Arkansas had one of the worst pass rush in the country before they played us. Harris was also one of the least sacked QBs before November. November showed that the OL was completely overrated and young.

That's one reason why I don't understand the high expectations for this year. The offensive line was terrible last year and there's no reason to think it'll be significantly better this year. Without a good OL, no offense can succeed, especially not one with zero imagination. We should/may be able to run block against weaker teams enough to get Fournette room to run, but against any good defense where we need to throw the ball some, I don't see how we're going to be effective no matter how much Harris has supposedly improved.

Maybe the offensive line really wasn't that good after all?

I re-watched it last week and I thought the same thing about the offensive line. I think KJ was at tackle and that didn't go well. Even EP struggled.

That game was hard to watch... By halftime I was ready to go. When they went up 31-14 I'd had enough.

give me 5 star line and 3 star skill and I will beat your 3 star line and 5 star skill.

LSU was missing several blockers by the Arkansas game as I recall. And the young DL just got out-played by the Hogs OL. Look for both lines to be improved, especially up the middle. All those freshmen from last season are grown men by now.
