I can see why younger folks rank Motion Picture so low but you folks are wrong. It was insane to see the crew back on the big screen. Heck nobody had a clue that was even possible. After watching repeats, it was so cool to see the gang back together.

All the talk about the original being so smart is overblown nonsense. Hell, the plot of 1 and 4 is the same and it was copy of the plot from the show. Sure some variation but we had 3 stories about an evil / mutated satellite.

All lists are wrong if they don't have Nemesis last and by last I mean buried under 40,000,000 tons of garbage.

The plot is insultingly stupid. I want to destroy Earth but not the folks who enslaved and killed my mom. The non reaction to Data's death and them treating him like B4 is a nice replacement is pure shite.

I hope Data's positronic brain survived the explosion. I hope someone finds it and puts it back together and then I hope Data goes on a Quentin Tarantino revenge murder rampage killing off the surviving members of the Enterprise. They all suck.

Sure, the original movies had less action but they still had plenty and in reality the only reason they didn't have more was the geriatric cast and smaller budgets.

Nemesis is the only Trek I hate. Enterprise was weak but it grew on my at the very end. Insurrection wasn't good but it wasn't in the same universe as Nemesis.

I'm a huge fan of all the series. Even really liked Enterprise. But I always thought the movies were pretty bad. Some parts here and there were OK, but generally really bad effects, plots, and writing.

I like the reboot. Sure, it's all about action and, aside from Kirk and Spock, zero character development, but that's OK. When I'm in the mood for space politics, I fire up Netflix for some DS9.

Nemesis killed the franchise for years, but Generations was completely nonsensical. The Enterprise B is the "only ship in range" of the distress call, yet it is inside of Earth's solar system which is the headquarters of the Federation. There should be thousands of ships flying around.

Then, the lamest villain of all time actually beats the TNG Crew and fires the rocket into the sun (which blows up 5 seconds after it launches). Picard is launched into the Nexus and can literally return to "any" point in time that he chooses and he decides to return with Captain Kirk to literally "right" before the villain shoots the missile to destroy the star.

Finally Kirk dies in the absolute lamest fashion possible. Crushed by a bridge, whispers, "It was....fun," dies. That's it.
