Absolutely you should. I use mine often enough and it is so damn convenient. They aren't that expensive and don't take a ton of space so why wouldn't you get one?
And as people have said, I use it for a lot of things I never thought about. I will be cooking something and wish the sauce were smoother and realize I can easily do that whereas before I would have never bothered.

I mainly use it to puree vegetable soups right in the cooking pot. It doesn't get the soup quite as perfect as a blender, but the quick cleanup makes it well worth it.
Watch your fingers. Lots of pics online of nasty injuries. And make sure it is immersed when you turn it on, or you will spray soup 360 degrees around your kitchen.
