There are a couple of great putt putt places too.

Soldier’s Creek- Never played it, but it is owned by the Woerner’s (Turf company), so I assume the grass is green.
Peninsula- If you are going to drive there, play Kiva Dunes.. if you can’t afford it, play Gulf Shores Golf Club (now known as “The Wharf”), but if you play Peninsula, enjoy an apple from the barrel between nines.
The Wharf- Great course, one of my favorites in Alabama. Difficult layout, but fair.
Craft Farms- Nice but nothing special. You will leave your round and say “wow, that was a well-kept course, but something I could have played in Baton Rouge.” That statement applies to both of their courses.
Kiva Dunes- It is the quintessential gulf coast golf course, imo. It’s just off the beach and is home to some of the most picturesque holes in the South. It is unbearably difficult from the tips with the wind, but from up a tee, it becomes manageable and fun. It is always in good shape and has an excellent practice facility.
Perdido Bay Golf Club- Nice, but difficult. It is in close proximity to Lost Key.
Lost Key- aka Lost Ball... Lol
GlenLakes Golf Club- you can book four people for like $17 a person. It’s a nice course as well. Definitely the best bang for your buck, by far.
Definitive Ranking of all East Alabama, West Florida Golf Courses
1- Kiva Dunes
2- Gulf Shores Golf Club
3- Craft Farms (either)
3- Glenlakes Golf Club
3- Peninsula
6- Perdido Bay Golf Club
Unranked: Lost Key
The tie for three is based on what you are looking for out of your golf round.
Regardless of where you play, stop and play Rock Creek on the way up or back.

What was the deal with Kiva? Planning to play next week
Kiva redid their greens in the past year. I played there in Feb and April. Just like a lot of new greens, there is a tremendous 'trampoline' effect. Makes for some difficult play conditions at times.
Not sure if the greens have matured enough to allow for the greens to accept a shot like you would expect.

Thanks for info. How did they roll and how was the remodel? Have played there every year for last 7 or so. Great track.

notjing really. It just wasn't as well manicured as its been in the past. It's playable for sure. Greens weren't as nice as I remember them from 15yrs ago.
I like Peninsula and Perdido Key better.

One of those things got in my cart yesterday while I was on the green and got into my beer. Had to pour out half a beer when I got back.

One came up to my cart. I tried to shoo it away with an iron. It pushed the iron aside, and kept coming until I acted like I was going to stomp on it. Then it took a come at me bro stance.
