IF you're not in the top say...1500 of TAF, you are FAR better off, purchasing half-way decent tickets either at the game or via the secondary market, as it gets closer to the game. Away game tickets are notoriously poor seats !

So accurate. I gave up on those years ago.

Does anyone know what section the band will be sitting in for this game?

Band seating...it depends, usually the lower part of section 34...family and higher end TAF are usually seated in sections 32 thru 34...I have made the trip for the last 10 years...its a good time!(with the exception of Brandon Harris' first start)..looking for redemption this year

There is a brand new Courtyard Marriott that is less than 3 miles from the stadium. Hotels in Auburn fill up very quickly and most are probably already full. Try the Courtyard out as some folks do not know about it yet. Rates are very expensive in Auburn. Anything decent is going to cost you $400-$500 per night.
If you are willing to stay slightly outside the area, I would try Montgomery. The Hilton Garden Inn at the Eastchase location is also a brand new hotel. You would be about 45 minutes from Auburn, but you would be that much closer to home on the way back.
