re: What are police trained to do if a person says they have a gun?

I had a wreck in downtown Atlanta last year. I had my 380 in my front pocket. When the cop showed up, I told her I had it and handed her my drivers license and CCP. She was very polite and said thank you. A few minutes later, she handed me a card verifying that my report had been submitted and said that the final version would be ready in three days. Then she sat there with me until a taxi cab picked me up to take me to the rental car place.

Reckon it all went well just because I am white?
