While that is true, nothing beats owning an older Colt 1911 that's in good shape.
I have a 74 Gold Cup and an 89 Delta Elite. Nothing quite like them...
Although I may be getting a new production Delta Elite since they're now building them on the old (now discontinued) Colt XSE line that has a lot of bells and whistles...

I hear you on the old stuff, I'm always looking. As to that newer Delta, would you say that's a better buy than the old style pistol with wood grips there're selling right now? Thx. The colts have invpcreased in price in the last year.
