Im never surprised when I hear of a couple having marital problems because the wife is addicted to pain killers.
Over the past few years ive seen some very successful people ruin their lives due to addictions such as alcohol, drugs, or gambling

So you never heard of a story in which the husband was addicted? I don't think its just one sex or the other being affected.
