I disagree with Jamal Brown as honorable mention. I dont think he belongs up there
Jamal Brown was a stud LT for a few seasons and was a big part of that Superbowl O-line. He definitely deserves to be up there.

how can george rogers average over 1,000 yards per season over 7 season but not rush for more than Deuce's 6,096 yards?
That math doesn't add up
Because about 1/3 of it came in Washington.
Fair enough, it was before my time

I gave him a lot of thought.
Maybe the hardest one to keep off the list was probably Will Smith because he had a couple of really good years and he played here a long time. I get the arguments against Ricky Williams. One of those two could definitely replace him if you argue that Ricky didn't play HERE long enough to make the list.

Yeah I got that, and not just because of the haul we gave up for him but if the vast majority of what made the player great happened somewhere else it's doesn't make sense to call it a great pick by the Saints.
The pick was great. The trade was not. The trade =/= the pick. In fact, the trade is what basically poisoned the relationship, because a lot of people expected him to perform like an entire draft of players.

Ricky had like 70 more carries with the Saints than Ingram has had in his career.

Pierre had 4 more carries.
We can also talk about the talent around them. I don't think anyone would argue that Ingram and Thomas have much better offenses around them than Ricky did. I'd say Drew Brees opens the box just a tad bit more than the Billy Joes and Aaron Brooks.

After '99 the offense was close to equally talented everywhere except QB and definitely had better run blocking O-lines in Ricky's Saints era.

Saints passing offense was well above average every year with Brooks except when he was hurt and the Katrina season.

The Saints gave up one first round pick, swapped places in the first round, and then gave up the rest of the draft and a 3rd in next year's draft to get him.
And then they got two firsts from the Dolphins when the Saints traded him.
It nearly but not quite came out in the wash.
