I would do it. I graduated high school at 17 and started college at 17. In my opinion I was behind athletically and academically. That extra year would have done wonders for each. I am going to do it for my son who's b- day is mid May. He will turn 19 the summer before his freshman year in college.

I am. But the local school is trying to refuse.
The question was how to. I don't want to send her to private K or private pre-K this year and then have the local public school insist on putting her into first grade next year since K isn't mandatory.
