PSG your GOAT is gone.
But you got
Hatem Ben Arfa
Grzegorz Krychowiak
and Unai Emery
As far as the Marseille fire sale...
For a pitiful £1.5million
Dat Batshuayi sale doe, £33 mil helps tFinancialWoes at the Velodrome
For Monaco, Kamil Glik and Benjamin Mendy are in.
Glik Confirms Move from Torino to Monaco
Mendy Too
But they could lose Fabinho to Serie A side Napoli:
Lyon also signed a Polish player, Russian Legend Maciej Rybus (who would have been at Euro but for an injury). I'm the only one who watches Russian footy, but he was one of the best. Can be used as a midfielder or left back.
Umtiti is off to Barca however....
He gone
I will miss that hair

One of the more intriguing targets that Napoli have been linked to of late is AS Monaco's Fabinho, an athletic and versatile young Brazilian who has been incredibly impressive since he joined the French side from Real Madrid three years ago. Now, if reports in Italy are correct, Napoli and Monaco have come to terms on a deal to bring Fabinho to Naples, with a deal with Fabinho himself the main hurdle left to clear.

I'd love to see this league become more competitive at the top.
At the very top it's only a little above the SPL in terms of excitement. Meaning that we know PSG will win.

Super Bob and Le Havre start the Ligue 2 season the weekend of July 29-31 at Orléans. My only true rooting interest in French football at the moment, though I observe from the sidelines.

Watching the Euros has piqued my interest in soccer once again, and I decided that Marseilles stadium was really cool so I'd follow them some this year
why does it seem they're trading away all their top talent?

What's crazy is that Marseille are fourth favorites for the title on almost every betting site when public opinion states relegation battle. Really weird.

Basically, a shitty owner who wants to cut corners and costs.

What?!? Don't know how to break it to those guys, but Mamadou Niang ain't walking through that door.

It's not just Louis-Dreyfus.
Basically, there are financial fair play regulations in place. An easy way to imagine this is to say that OM was over the salary cap, in essence.
The incompetence of the current president is worth noting, as well. LaBrune could have sold Ayew, Gignac, Mandanda, Nkoulou - the transfer / salary savings probably would have allowed him to keep at least some talent around.
The team will be a mess until the owner sells, the team president is fired and money can be poured into the roster, basically.
*ETA - Every 'new owner' story I have read includes stories of the new ownership throwing serious money at the roster - at least $100M. That would allow the team to keep the talent they have, retaining players like Ayew, Batshuayi, Mandanda, Nkoulou, etc...

JANSSEN TO SNUB PSG FOR SPURS
Vincent Janssen is set to snub Paris St Germain to seal a move to Tottenham Hotspur, reports French publication L'Equipe.
The AZ Alkmaar striker was a revelation in the Dutch Eredivisie league last season, scoring 27 goals to take the award for top goalscorer and Spurs have been chasing his services all summer to provide cover and competition for Harry Kane.

He might have a stronger pulse than OM right now.

A return to Ligue 1 or somewhere else in Europe?
