Do you remember the see-through desktop (wallpaper) fad?

This was back in 2004-2005? Maybe?
Do you remember being part of this?
Did any of you participate? I did on my desktop computer, a little less convincing.
Makes you wonder how fads like these caught on before facebook and youtube were really popular.

I would say that is an extreme, artsy version of it.
Mine was a fixed position.

I'm sure the Nelson cheap peg board material made for a great background

I don't remember it but it needs to make a comeback. How does one do this?

Me either, but from the looks of it, you'd have to have a great eye at lining up a picture of that nature.

Better watch it, tough guy... he's got throwing knives at his computer desk.

Posted on 7/1/16 at 9:28 am to terd ferguson
If they have a lot of dirt in them.

I've been an eBay member since 1999. I feel your pain.

no but in 2001 my screen saver was the code from The Matrix the operators would look at

It's not something you can do. It was something you could buy, it was just a see through monitor, a stupid gimmick that died out. You can probably still find them on eBay.

Weird things in the first pic:
Throwing knives (i think?) mounted to desk
Fetish Mask
Picture of Santa with a skirt on
Small jar of, what can only be assumed to be, piss
this is the desk of a child pornographer.
