Heading there tomorrow, I'll let you know
We're doing a motorcycle tour of the island, golfing and fishing for bonefish/permit.
Outside of that, lounging in the sun and drinking heavily

Here's a good forum for a lot of info on Aruba.

We went for a week back in May and had a great time. Stay at the Marriott and did a lot of beach time with a beer in the hand. Chill is one of their beers and it was quite good with a lime. Ate lunch on the beach every day and then just hit different places for dinner. Definitely a great place to go and relax.

Went in March and stayed at the Ritz-Carlton.
Definitely rent a car and explore the North and East sides of the island.
Bring sturdy hiking shoes as much of the ground surface is sharp coral.
Plenty of serious sunscreen.
The restaurant El Trattoria el Faro Blanco LINK is wonderful. Make reservations.
The golf is supposed to be good, I didn't go.
The snorkeling was wonderful. Go on an escorted snorkeling tour.
Have fun, it is weirdly arid there, lots of cactus.

The Beach and where else would you go?

Spent a week in Aruba a year ago.
You have to eat at Passions on the beach. You won't regret it. Also, another dinner recommendation is Las Ramblas. Check them out.
A fun excursion was a sunset cruise on a boat called the black pearl. Liked this because they only allowed about 20 people to sail with them.
Hope these suggestions help. Enjoy

It's beautiful, you will love it there.
Eagle and Palm Beach are two of the more popular ones to go to.
Jolly Pirates has a snorkeling excursion that is a lot of fun, and they also do a sunset cruise.

When we were there, we just kind of beach hopped and chilled. my favorite beach was Baby Beach by far. It's like a big natural pool, about waist deep. You can snorkel if you want. There is a bar and restaurant right there for food and drink.
Eagle beach 2nd. More laid back, beautiful water. One thing my g/f hated was the wind was strong enough to kick up sand, and that annoyed her. So we didnt stay too long.
Palm beach was meh. A lot of windsurfers and crowded
we drove out to Alto Vista chapel one day in the northeast corner. walked down the hill to the water, the waves are majestic situated on what i think were limestone cliffs.
if you're looking for a nice dinner, the Flying Fishbone is a nice place to eat. We did that twice. It's right on the water, and there are even some tables to where your feet are in the water. Make reservations
Renting a car is the way to go. We stayed at cool AirBnb in Saveenta. The hotel district looked pretty awful. Crowded, traffic, a lot of fat tourist

Aruba bob snorkling tour & Around Aruba UTV tour.

baby beach is a fun day, rent a car.
i would say take the snorkel trip on the black pearl dealio, but they sell out, 6months in advance. he only takes 2oish people for the sunset cruise, and it is super relaxing, with a couple snorkeling sites.
you can bet on sports in a few of the casinos
a trip to the natural pools is something we never do, but people like it. do not rent a jeep and go, go on a tour, u dont want to have to pay for damages done to the vehicle, and the roads up there are bad.
we enjoy casa tua for pizza, it's in the little strip mall, in center of downtown, across from ren hotels.
We love Aruba, it's relaxing, and trade winds make it bearable.
No one will ask to braid your hair, beg you for cash, try to sell you trinkets, thats the poor islands of carribean.
Also, there is a stand where people from Green Bay, sell Aruban license plates, and if you give them a notice, they can get them personalized to what ever you want. They sell genuine wisconsin brauts and stuff there also.
Also, if you want a romantic dinner with the wife, make reservation for "passions on the beach". I asked my wife to marry me while having a sunset dinner there. Food was really good.

We did the Trikes of Aruba, good excursion. Saw the whole island, a little hurried but the bikes were fun to drive. If I did it again, I'd rent a jeep and do my own thing but for a half day tour it was good. Have not fished yet so no report. We're at the Riu so we're working our way thru their reservation restaurants. Gonna do Passion on the Beach tomorrow night. Heading into town this afternoon to shop, wander and relax. Tonight we bar hop outside our resort.
The wind here is constant. Helps keep you cool but can get bothersome. On the beach, have a top for your drink or you will get sand. The island is beautiful, clean and the people are great, engaging and fun.
Get ready, you're gonna like Aruba!!!

It's our favorite Caribbean Island.
Have you had a balashi yet? Or a Balashi chill?
Which RUI are you at? They bought the Hotel next to their bigger place and turned it into an AI hotel.

Stay away from the Van Der Sloot

We're at the Riu Palace, next to the one they bought.
Yes on the Balashi, multiple...multiple. Took a little getting used to, had a tinny taste but I've gotten to like it!!!
Heading across the street tonight, not sure where but we'll figure that out as it goes.

Wow! We are loving it here. We rented a car for the week. Initial learning the roads was an adventure in itself. So glad we have the car b/c we are not limited on the island and can explore and eat anywhere we like.
UTV tour was awesome offroading and seeing all the attractions.
Ate at flying fisbone with our feet in the water for sunset views. Best atmosphere and most unique dinning experience ever. Food was meh.
Dutch pancakes were good for breakfast.
Zeerover was great eating on the dock and having daily fresh caught fish and seafood fried to perfection.
Las Ramblas was one of the best meals we have ever eaten anywhere! Mr. Willy, the chef, was great and very nice.
And we've only been here two nights. Can't wait to explore more of the island and check out other eateries.

How was the food at Passions? Excellent or is it more of the novelty of dinning on the beach?
Posted on 7/2/16 at 6:37 am to LSUregit
Food was good, but the novelty is what makes it.
I'd at least give it the 1 try.
Since u have a car, grab some grub and drinks, and make a partial day of baby beach.

My favorite activity was renting a jeep and driving to the california lighthouse and the south coast. The lighthouse has sand dunes nearby that are fun to walk around. I was surprised at how secluded they were. The south coast has some cliff like features. We drove all over the island and got to see it all which was interesting. We also did a snorkeling trip which was fun. We saw a sunken german cargo ship and a decent reef. We also did kunuku bar hopping trip. They take you to some secluded bars were the group just takes over. The atv tour was fun as well though I would have preferred to take a jeep to the natural pool. That is a rough trail and would've been a lot of fun in a jeep.
