The Olympics lost a lot of their luster when the Cold War ended. We no longer have that USSR, East German monster to compete against.

The closest thing we've had to that since the collapse of the Soviet Union were the games in 2008 in China where we went and battled Communist China. They were using 12 year old gymnasts and shite.

2008 was the best Olympics since the end of the Cold War for that reason.

And both countries were juicing/doping like crazy.
Yea,some in the US were doing the same but not even close to those 2 especially the GDR
