I have no idea what state law requires. But if you show up with a copy of state law, she might get the gift honored and get a really shitty nail job.

Seriously, what did she expect? The expiration date was there in plain sight, if having the certificate honored was important to her she should have gone a month ago.

Maybe she was in the hospital and unable to make it.

Maybe she forgot.

Not really the point.

A business owner is being highly unreasonable (a few days since printed expiration) and also breaking state law.

Why is it that grandma is expected to read the gift card but business operating in Louisiana is not expected to read the statute that governs it?
