Why wouldn't you claim him? Do you not claim football players who leave as soon as they are eligible for the draft?

Fair question.
It's partly a sport issue. Football players have to be there more than a year, so they become embedded.
It's partly just a sense that he was never really interested in being at LSU in the first place.
But that goes back to the sport thing. LSU doesn't get the one and done guys like other places.
edit: and I don't feel like he elevated the team either. He made a poor team mediocre. We could have missed the NCAA and passed on the NIT without him.
