a good leader gets input on strategies from anyone who might help achieve victory
sansa waited till after the war council to confront jon since she wasn't part of the war council and so it wouldn't create a scene in front of his men.
bottom line, by not including her in the war council jon failed to respect her importance

She was standing there the entire time, she could have easily spoken up. Nobody that mattered would have stopped her from speaking, Davos is the Onion Knight, Jon is her brother, and Tormund knows little of tactical warfare and comes from a society where men and women are equals.

People in this thread are fricking stupid. It's baffling, to be honest.
Serious question:
If you were going into battle, would you rather be told that help is possibly coming and it not show up or would you rather be ignorant to the possibility and have it come unexpectedly? Would you rather plan your battle around reinforcements that may or may not show up or would you rather plan your attack with what you know you have?
Seriously people, think about it. Sansa let Jon and Davos make their plans with what they were certain they had while she waited anxiously to see whether Little Finger would even show. Hell, the line about not being taken by Bolton alive proved she had no idea whether the Vail knights were coming.
I swear, some of you can't see past the tip of your fricking noses.
