Take a young Barry Zito, Tom Hudson and Mark Mulder away from Billy Beane and how incredible has he really been? I think he's good but they haven't been able to sustain success since those guys left. I realize he has a tough job, but he's not the only GM out there who does.

dude has put the franchise in a hole with the terrible trades.
Trading Cespedes and Josh Donaldson for Franklin Barreto, Sean Nolin, Brett Lawrie, Kendall Graveman, and 11 starts from Jon Lester.
Trading for Samardazja. Then having to trade Samardja and getting a weak haul
Even his recent playoff teams have been pretty weak, but overall in the last 10 years the A's have been irrelevant. their farm system is pretty weak.
