My travel has dropped a good bit in the last 2 years but I'm still "on the road"
quote:4-6
How many nights per month are you in a hotel?
quote:Marriott. At the time when I started I was covering some rural areas and needed more than a Hyatt or Starwood coverage. And Hilton pissed me off. Thought about switching to Starwood.
What is your preferred hotel chain and why?
quote:About 18-20 round trips
How many flights a year do you average?
quote:Delta. Most of my territory is in the SE plus the frequency of flights to ATL from BTR
What is your preferred airline and why?
quote:Yes.
Do you get to keep your hotel/airline points?
quote:Federal rate but no more than 100 miles per trip unless going to/from MSY. Otherwise we rent a car.
How does your company reimburse mileage?
quote:No. I use company CC for meals/expenses on the road. We are to spend "within reason" ($5-10 breakfast, $15 for lunch, $30 dinner) when I'm not with a client.
Do you receive per diem, if so how much per night?
quote:company card. I can use a personal and get reimbursed but I don't want the liability nor the delay in reimbursement.
How are travel expenses paid (reimbursed from your card or company card)?
quote:sales.
What industry are you in?
quote:Pick an airline, car rental, and hotel chain and stick with it. Take advantage of any of their promos that you can. Read up on leveraging points, etc. on here and FlyerTalk.
What advice would you give someone who is about to be a frequent work traveler?
