Yes. And if Luhnow deals for big money solutions, he cannot fail miserably again.
Bregman is going to fill one hole (3B or OF) and Reed is going to fill another (even if he has to quasi-platoon vs LHP).
Final third of the season, Bregman, Moran and Reed should be up and play every day. We need to have them ready for 2017.

Our rotation is shite too and our bullpen is a box of chocolates.
There are a lot more answers we can be excited about in the minors for the pitching. Musgrove and Paulino just need to be healthy. Meanwhile, Hoyt is striking our 2 batters per inning wasting his time in Fresno

When do you foresee help from a pitching standpoint arrive? Hoyt has to be close. Musgrove? Martes?
Never mind. Just saw your post above.

I'm starting to believe in Derek Fisher a little more, but his K% is pretty bad. Springer had similar issues in the minors but was destroying the ball otherwise. Fisher's K rate isn't as palatable when he isn't hitting .300+ in AA.

Sucks because we aren't going to score here

3 hits and we still haven't scored. Only the Astros.

Hoyt is ready but management thinks we have no spot for him.
Musgrove will be ready very soon. In AAA, he is finally getting to pitch deep into games so he can learn how to vary his attack to hitters the 3rd and 4th times through the order. He needs no other work on his game.
Paulino is not far behind Musgrove so I hope he's in AAA as soon as the first half of the AA season is over (end of June).
Martes had a great start last night but he is so young and a little inconsistent. I don't expect him to be ready for the MLB rotation until the start of 2018 so anything sooner is a big bonus.

5 hits no runs. 4 hits for them and 4 runs.

I'm afraid Fisher may be a Rasmus clone. Hopefully, he is more consistent than that but I wouldn't bet on it.

Did we not see Paulino at some point last year? His name seems familiar?
Posted on 6/10/16 at 7:13 pm to Rjlebla
Paulino's never been higher than AA.

I must have confused him with someone else. I don't think I'm thinking of peacock. Who else besides oberholtzer and Hernandez started for us last year? And not Velasquez either.

Woj early in the season? He's with the Marlins AAA team now.
Roberto Hernandez? He's changed his name at least twice since then.

Maybe you're thinking of Feliz who was up for just a little bit.
Maybe you're thinking of Felipe Paulino from a few years ago.

I was told Hoyt would be the next arm called up.

Kazmir is the only other one I can think of.
