I would think that the cable companies would charge ESPN more to carry SEC Network 2 than a channel that only carries a few games a year.

I don't think you get how this works

It's there for run over programming. You can't just go on an airplane and say oh I'm not paying for this seat, it was open anyway.

No but my father did for 20+ years. Particularly responsible for negotiating contracts with cable providers.

I just wish they'd contract out the Atlernate channels for at least the baseball Regionals for SEC teams. Good info.
