I have cox Contour. Just saw contour 2. Looked pretty cool. I know the new remote has voice activation, but not sure what else. Anyone think I should "upgrade"? What is the differences and is it an additional cost from contour?

I love the new boxes, they're awesome.

Had one shown off to me in their "Solutions Center" (LOL) earlier this week. Slick looking UI but to be honest they took away the viewing box so I can continue to watch the program on the channel I'm on while reviewing the guide. They sacrificed function to add to form to the detriment of the UX IMO.
Voice is nice but anyone with a tech setup involving receivers, soundbars, smart TV's, DVD/Blu Ray, streaming boxes etc isn't using their cable box remotes. They're using a Universal remote.
Who wants a voice search for your cable box when you won't be using it and it can't adjust your volume, change you input source, or other voice activated controls?
Just lipstick on the same old pig if you ask me.

My box is able to do this. It has to be enabled in the settings.

If that's the case then it's a bit neater. Seems like the manager of a store would know to make that adjustment butttttt...this is Cox we are talking about here.
