I'd say Munich has the best "simple" beer. Just old faithful- crisp, makes you happy, and does the job. Belgium, on the other hand, has the best in terms of complexity, variety, and quality.

Well spoken, I agree 100%. Munich beers are what you envision when you close your eyes and think of the perfect sip of beer. Innovative? Perhaps not. But they've perfected the basic, "vanilla" beer.
