Drink plenty of beer, it's the best you'll ever have.

Tell that to someone in Prague!

Munich is a great city.

And, yes, the bier is incredible.

Biers I drank in Munchen:

Spaten
Augistinerbrau
Spockmeister
Hacker-Pschorr
Paulaner Weissbier
Paulaner
Heinekin (yes! it was served at a group dinner)
Hofbrauhaus Lager
Hofbrauhaus Dunkel
Lowenbrau
Konig Ludwig Dunkel

I'd say Munich has the best "simple" beer. Just old faithful- crisp, makes you happy, and does the job. Belgium, on the other hand, has the best in terms of complexity, variety, and quality.

You know, believe it or not I actually had some difficulty finding Spaten in Munich haha it was my absolute favorite German beer that I'd had in the states but I believe that regular old Paulaner and Hofbrau Dunkel surpassed it once I had them over there. Shame that no one in Arkansas carries Hofbrau, I cherish my trips to Texas and Missouri because I always bring some back. I fell in love with the radlers while I was there, which I'd never had back home. Grapefruit/lemon soda and beer sounds like a disgusting combination until you try it haha that stuff is the nectar of the Gods! Stiegl's is good, as is the radler at Hofbrau Haus. For the record, I love the Czech beers as well but as my screen name suggests my preference for most things is German haha
