You came to all of these conclusions simply by reading the OP's post?
The guy doesn't like having to dress up like it's Halloween to go eat at places that may be way more proud of their food then he thinks they should be.
I agree with the OP. I would rather be comfortable in a laid back place with good food than dressed up at night or on a weekend in a stuffy place with good food.
