It's official.

A great athlete but not a great American. May he rest in peace.

But the militia who protest an unjust government are "patriots," right?

Ali was vindicated by history, we all know that.... even from McNamara himself.

Great Americans take stands that may be unpopular at the time, they just don't blindly follow immoral orders ... that's what we prosecuted the Germans for after WWII.

It's not like Ali took off to Canada, he refused to fight, got his punishment, and that was that. There is no way I can say anything about a black man not wanting to fight in a war for a country that despised him. And again may the champ rest in peace.

No. Sorry, if I have to hear crap on here about how confederates were great Americans when they literally killed Americans in order to keep other Americans in chains, Ali was a great American.

Sometimes standing up when your country is wrong is what makes you great.

He was a TRUE American... He had balls. Segregation of public facilities yet he had to go risk his life for that? No way, Ali was great.

Your comment is not racist at all, 3 million of us chose to go even though we were not ready to die for people we did not know. He could have gone with Bob Hope who IS a great American.
No athlete is my hero especially someone like him. My heroes are burie all over the globe. Having said that I hope he is at piece
