Zoos are a late Nineteenth and early Twentieth century phenomenon. So are circuses. These acts are going to start dying on the vine. It is a new century and a new era.

I don't know if we will see the end of zoos, but we might see higher standards in place for zoos. Without zoos I think the risk of some animals to become extinct will rise.

I just imagine them releasing all these caged animals into the wild and they all get eaten the first day. Most have been born and raised in captivity with no survival skills. Those that don't starve get eaten. Will that make PETA happy?

i think we are going to see some changes in ways of protection. But not the end of zoos.
