yeah that's one thing about soccer transfer losses that gets to me
if you frick up or change systems and the past investment becomes a bad one, if you play hardball with a super-high valuation, all you're doing is risking that player losing another year and having his value drop even more
real may be facing this very issue with James if he doesn't buy in and force himself to fit into zidane's 4-3-3

He still had 9 goals in 14 starts + subs... Same amount Bolasie had in 3 years...
He's a very good striker in the right system..
It's just that everyone knew, even when we had BR, that he was the wrong fit for the way we played..
