5 years into the 12-team format, the winner's bracket team is 2-8 in Semis

They won't change the format anytime soon, but it's still a ridiculous format.

That's what I don't understand! We were in the winner's bracket so we deserved to be the home team. Oh well. It was a great run and I hope they continue it during their regional

Because no college coach with half of a brain wants to play 6 or so games in a 5 day stretch the week before the REAL postseason begins. The SECT is not very important in the grand scheme of things.

outside of an 8 team format everything else would be to many games.

Make it a top 8 tournament and it would be easier to make whole thing double elimination.

Team that has been road team the most in the matchup is the home team. I think tie goes to the higher seed.

Purpose of the double elimination portion is to give SEC teams a chance to get into ncaa tourney or host or be top 8 depending on what's need. Two extra games can help a lot. Otherwise format makes no sense

If LSU gets a national seed, this game matters not.
But, being home for supers is a definite advantage.

I'm glad we got some extra games in against some great teams along with extra practices. Not winning? meh.
