Ask just about any of our dads or daddies dads and you'll get the same reply... a cold one on the way home was deserved and normal. Additionally, for example, cops rarely cared about that pull tab Schlitz between their legs if pulled over. The 70's was a pretty awesome decade.

I saw a guy on Hwy 61 north of BR who had been pulled over by LSP. Late Sunday afternoon several years ago. The guy was out of his car talking to the trooper drinking a 24 oz. Miller Lite.

Yeah, it's funny how much times and culture have changed in this regard that so many people are in complete aghast outrage at something not 30 years ago or so, nobody would have batted an eye over.

Guess there's trade offs in every decade... 70s you could smoke on planes and get away with cracking a cold one driving, but a dime bag could get you 20 years
