Your little fantasy here is almost too infantile to respond to.

These guys are warriors , trained to die for our country. You thnik a little bit of short term torture is going to convince a high clearance officer to annihilate the US population?

I just can't even respond to this nonsense fantasy anymore, thanks for playing

So who do they have fix that stuff? I mean seriously? Obviously they work well but they still must do regularly checks right? Ha, I mean I'm sure there is some 65 year old IT guy that makes 100k on 40 hours of work a year because he's the only one around that is certified for floppy disk technology.

The system is set up to where the only way an enemy could gain access is to simultaneously possess the "football", the president, and the interface inside the heavily guarded underground bunker.

In contrast to the "antiquated" technology to launch, the warheads themselves possess cutting edge technology to protect them from today's anti-missile defense systems. So we have that going for us. Which is nice.

Doesn't really work with IT. Things that are old enough to warrant the phrase "if it ain't broke," typically have been made obsolete by safer, more performant technology.

Maybe, but many large and small corporations smaller ones still run on IBM AS00 "green screen" technology from the 70's and 80's for their main line of business apps. It's stable, and corporations have heavy investment in the old stuff that still works today.

When I started college 3.5" was the standard. I remember going buy a pack of them and putting important documents on two different disk in case something got behind the metal guard on the top of the disk and caused shite to get erased.

I remember, you had to remember to save whatever you were working on, while you were working on it, every so often because there would be times people would get to class, stick their disk in, open up the file then realize they had nothing saved from all the work they did the day before..
