I'm not referring to you. I've been having the same serial downvoter on this board for quite a few months now. I just find it sad someone takes the time to go back through all my posts to downvote them. I have a good idea of who it is, just curious as to why.

I'd say it moderately bothers me. I understand downvotes on OT Lounge and PT Board. But most of my posts on here are informative beer topics or cooking posts.
But this thread was dead for several hours before whoever that person may be, started the downvoting. I had the feeling that the mystery downvoter would start up on this topic, and as sure as rain, i see this morning that there they were.
FWIW, i'm aware of the subsequent downvoting that happened after bringing this up. Smartasses...
But anyway, did you read up on the alternating beer proprietership i posted about? That is what you were referring to. Locally, Abita is the only brewery large enough for that to happen, but even then, they are probably at capacity with throwing out new beers every couple months.

We actually get a lot of people from out of town (for work more than tourism) into Tin Roof... plus plenty of regulars. After that it's usually people in for a specific event.

Shiiiiiiit, a Hay Merchant style place would kill it in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Bunkie or Walla Walla. Excellent food, good prices and a large selection of craft beers. Thinking about it, I'm kinda surprised they haven't tried to franchise that model and make a ton of money.

beer selection was very good for so few taps.
we went the other day for lunch and I found it very underwhelming. the lunch menu was very small so we didnt have many options. the yellowfin tuna salad had a great selection of greens on it but the fish was ok and the dressing didnt taste like much of anything. was also pretty small.
the burger was bland and had no sear at all. didnt taste like the old curbside burgers at all.
will try again because I like the setup and the regular menu has more things.

If they went into the right spot with the right owners, I think a Hay Merchant would do just fine in Baton Rouge. Maybe downtown? Or in the medical district around Perkins/Essen/Bluebonnet - put that in the old McAlister's building or in Rouzan, sit back and count the cash.
