Good anti-malware/anti-virus for a Mac? Preferrably free.

I know, I know... "Macs don't get viruses"... but the issue is that these "viruses" aren't necessarily dangerous, but they're making me frustrated with computer speed, etc.

First uninstall mackeeper drag it to the trash & empty the trash

"mackeeper" "cleanmymac" "cleanmydrive" are all awful awful awful and will do more harm.
Last time I was on the phone with tech support for apple they suggested "malwarebytes anti-malware" I downloaded it and it seems to be pretty solid

Empty your browser cache, clear your history, delete all your cookies. Repeat every week or 3.
