Before you take the brunt of it, lets see if she had a gift prepared for you and when she bought it etc. If she comes with anything other than a store bought gift (like she gives you a massage and cooks dinner, etc) then she probably forgot too. but you shouldnt fold so easily next time
the "hide the card and pretend you hid it earlier" trick has worked for me at least half a dozen times
