Dude, Gordon had a fantastic year shooting the ball. Nobody expects that, but that doesn't mean Hield can't be a positive contributor. There is middle ground between flop and instant all-star.

Again, my point simply is that the team will have to add 1-2 players better than whatever rookie they add this summer for them to be an above .500 team

You want your rookie to have a niche role his first year, not to be asked to do too much. Kawhi, for instance, was given a very limited number of things to do and work on his first year. The Spurs won AND he developed. That is the ideal.

I think it would be bad for a rookie to come in, have Gordon, Ryno, and Tyreke exit and a guy like Bazemore come in, and all of a sudden the rookie is the number 3 option. I want his role to be smaller and more specialized year 1
