I mean he just won a playoff game with Justice Winslow ay Center. I don't think he's Top 5, but he right there. I'd go: Kerr, Pop, Carlisle,


ETA: damn, maybe he is a Top 5 coach I can't name 2 other coaches better than him

I know it is blasphemous, but the guy in that group that can point to doing the most with the least is Carlisle.

Pop's 2014 title is pretty impressive, but it pales to Carlisle's 2011 title.

He is borderline but not quite top 5 IMO.

Pop
Kerr
Carlisle
Stevens
Stotts

Technically Thibs is coaching again so he would slide above Stevens IMO.

Then you could make the case for Spoelstra. Probably a notch above Budenholzer but maybe below Rivers.

I know some would disagree with Stevens and Stotts but they both have consistently defied expectations time and again. The Blazers were supposed to be a lottery team and Stevens is probably the best young coach in while who has really elevated his roster.
