These bash New Orleans threads pop up here all the time but lately it's impossible to dismiss the increased levels of violence going on there. Read Nola.com or the uptownmessenger and the headlines are filled with armed robberies, carjackings, murders, and shootings. There were at least three shootings alone in New Orleans last night. Something has changed recently and it is only a matter of time until it starts to hammer tourism. There was even an armed robbery recently of a postal carrier.
