Just planted mine a few hours ago. Cucumbers, squash, peppers, sweet potato, corn, green beans, broccoli(I fear I planted too late), and cantaloupe. This is my first garden so any tips and helpful advice would be appreciated.

your garden will be late producing but not too late, just need to make sure it has plenty of water during those july and august months... as far as broccoli i dont think it makes this time of yr, but ive only ever grown it during the fall.

As far as tips, make sure enough water during dry months.
Keep a check on bugs
Keep the grass and weeds out as much as you can
when the corn gets about knee high it needs amonia put around it and plowed (not too close as to touch the corn or it will burn it. do this late in afternoon before a rain if possible.

From what I have read, you're supposed to start broccoli indoors in the fall. We will see. A few of my tomato plants look as if they have a fungus or something. Black spots on leaves are present and some have holes. Alternaria Alternata from what I've read. Not looking good so far

Any good herbicide or fungicide I should be aware of?
